Bad News Never Comes Only Once

There seems to be a going trend in our family that not so good things happen in plural. Yesterday my dad's uncle died. It wasn't really a surprise and my great uncle was prepared for it. I think it's cool that Jer had the chance to meet him and work with him. It sounds as though both Jer and my g-uncle were blessed by the time together. Okay, so someone dying and being ready for heaven isn't the most horrible news, but my grandpa is pretty upset(his bro). And with my grandma in the nursing home, he'll need extra support i'm sure.

Last nite, someone smashed my sisters car-and good. And i rather have to believe on purpose. It was parked in front of her house and sometime between 10 pm and 12am someone came and hit it-at least once quite possibly twice. The car was moved a decent length from where it started and pieces of her car were all over. Yet, no one heard a sound....odd. Her roomies couldn't even hear it and they were in the living room watching tv quietly. My poor sis was rather beside herself. Somehow bad stuff just follows her, and she isn't equipped to handle stuff like that. The damage on the car started close to the front tire and ended up with a flat back one and smashed back end. SO if anyone sees a freshly damaged vehicle more then likely with white paint on the front...get the plate number. : ) They are treating it as hit and run now...but some things have us wondering.

Slacker Blogger Here

Yes, i have been rather slow in getting a post up haven't i. I've been so busy lately that i don't even have time to read the blogs anymore. So busy living a life without having time to write about it. Plus...i just didn't feel like it on lazy days. : )
I'm once again on the church slow-pitch team and a volleyball team. I am enjoying both this year more then any other year. The attitudes of both teams are amazing and less inclined to be only competitive-but instead we have fun and still win (well, with slow-pitch anyway :) ) We have lots of fun at volleyball as well....just lacking in the winning area. haha.

So now i have some summer plans as well-finally. Wow, this year i have realized what a planner i am. Last year, i had my entire summer planned by January....and this year, i figured it out somewhat this past Wednesday. That was hard, especially not really knowing where God really wanted me. But, a little birdie told me more then once (and sent a forward email), that this little camp had no staff. Redberry seemed full of staff and even though i'd been there for years, i figured something new was in order. I'm off to Strasbourg Bible Camp for about 5 weeks this summer. I leave the evening or day after my ball tournament(ugh). The first 2 weeks are volunteer counselling with regular kids camps...Then next 2 are rental groups which i'm staying on for (and will be paid for :) ) The second week of rental groups is also part missions trip-which i'm super excited about. We drive into Regina pretty much everyday and hand out stuff about the upcoming camp week. The last week of camp is an inner city kids camp where kids come without having to pay. I'm soo excited for this camp. I'm starting to believe more and more that this is where God wants me to be this summer. It will be a good continuation of working in community schools during the year. I have learned more about the Native people in our city and have a new respect for their culture.
