So, as Matt would say, "It's a fresh one". Samuel was born on Sunday around 530am.

Oh Contentment

Today in sunday school, we talked about Rain and the good and bad times that happen in life. (well, to sum it up in a sentence anyway.) Wade asked us to think of a time when we were totally content. Like most answers most of my times are outside. Lately i've really enjoyed people and the quality time i've spent. Today, i had a wonderful moment of contentment. Let me share....
I had a wonderful lunch @ Wendy's with Caroline which was great since last nite we were both craving it. : ) AND they have cheap meal combos for $3.99. (yeah cheap!!) Then we hit Midtown Mall, which normally isn't my favorite place. Once again, i couldn't find shoes(*sigh*). We went to Fairweather and they have sales people!! Man Alive! And longer story shorter-i found the jacket i wanted-or almost exactly for waaaayyy cheaper then the original price and of course a top as well. If i had more money, i would have done a lot of damage. Then as i drove home with my happy purchase, i heard my new fav. song on the radio...*sigh* the world and everything in it is right.....my car wasn't clunking or sounding like it would fall apart at any moment, i found my jacket, had a great time with Caro, and another good song on the radio-2 in a row?! *sigh* contentment.
to go with my comment about my new cousin.

Look! A post without photos!

Okay, i realize i have put a lot of photos on my site lately. I've had a lot of good things happen lately and i'm sharing my wonderful memories with people...haha...plus i like taking pictures.
Anway....more of a serious nature post.....i could use some prayer this week. In November, i applied(with another girl) to work at a camp. We applied for the main leadership roles of the camp-therefore we would be doing all the planning and such. (oh i know...i never plan! haha) We hadn't heard anything for the longest time and after some struggle, i actually was able to give the situation to God, and put it in the back of my mind. Then i received an email a week or two ago saying that the board of directors were having a meeting to make decisions about staff. Suddenly it hit me that my life in the near future could be changing again. Then i started wondering....do i want this still? Is this still what God wants? If i stop subbing in May do i screw myself for next fall?? *sigh*....i also realized that i still feel called to the different-out of my comfort zone camp. I am stretched there.
Today i got an email saying that they are checking our references out this week. *sigh* So, in my somewhat apprehensive state, i'm asking if you acutally read this far, to pray for me this week.

My Afternoon with Abby

Yesterday i spent the day with my cousin Lori and Aunt Wanda, and of course Abby. I don't see them too often so it was really fun. My cousin Trevor had training here in town and well, Lori is due on Friday with baby #2....so i think she should have it tomorrow. ( i think she agrees : ) )

Wonderful Weekend

I went bowling on Sat. nite with a bunch of friends. That was rather enjoyable. My version of bowling seems to always entertain others. I'm sure there are a few dents in that lane that weren't there before as well. meh. (i'll post a few pic's of that and our roadtrip to moose jaw/regina soon)
On Sunday(toady i guess. : ) ), morning i opened my blind to see a blustery snowy day and thought, maybe i should stay home and crawl back into bed. Then i thought, well, i've missed the last 2 Sundays, and really shouldn't miss another, i should make an effort and go i guess. I even made it to Sunday School for our new Nooma series. haha....and so i watched....and it was all about Sunday, and how we go through the motions...and then we were asked if we had ever gone to church out of obligation or duty....hmm....haha God is funny. : D I really enjoyed the video. Get to the service, and oooh....not my fav. worship team, oh well, apparently the sermon is good....and i think to myself, self, it probly will be boring like always....and so begins the sermon....and i actually listen(well, and doodle-but actually listen) Oh right, Phillipians 4:6,7 hmmm, what was supposed to be my verse for last year, how did i do with that....maybe i should continue with the same for this year. "Do not be anxious...." haha again God. I definitely needed to hear that verse this morning-just as i had walked in worrying about something upcoming. The sermon summed up in my words..."less talk more pray" : D Now, to put that into action.

New Years Pic's

I enjoyed this New Years Eve a lot more then in past years, mainly because i went without any expectations. Anyway, there was sledding(coldness) and game playing and fun. I only slept 3 hours last nite(*sigh*) but my hair still looks the same, so it's staying up for another day-though if Helen saw it, she may cringe. (; ) oh Helen) My brain isn't working enough to post more....here's pictures.

Mel, and Rie on bum slider things. Scott, Kevin, Wade and Crys.

Helen and myself...minus an eye. Rie and Crys on the hill.

Self-explanitory : ).
