poop sticks

So, in taking a part time contract i apparently have taken quite a pay cut. How does that work? ugh. And i'm not getting too many afternoon subbing jobs which is frustrating. So now i have to look for another part time job. Any ideas? no, no fast food. sigh, so tired of being in the red with the bank.
on another note, ebay has free selling this week for new sellers. i think i may try my hand.

Fantabulous

What a fabulous weekend. On Friday, i went to Caroline's potluck with good food, and good people. It was good to see people i haven't seen in awhile.
Even though Saturday was gloomy and rainy, it was quite fun. My wonderful friend and co-conspirator was in town for nite and i spent the day with her. We did a quick Old Navy trip which was fruitful for me, even though i didn't get what i went for(somehow it always happens). We made a valient attempt at a strategic game of chess. I still have no idea how i won. It was really good catching up with Shanny and her fam. And of course an evening cheesey movie to top things off. You really have to be in the right mindset for silly cheese movies...but they work for us. haha
Sunday: I went to church...and saw Matty...who was looking for someone "slightly more interesting then you" [me]. Who would have guessed that the person would be Mark Trew?! crazy crazy. SO i say WELCOME HERE!! to Mark and Susanna. You just never know what will happen when you decide to go to church haha.
AND church was really moving this morning. We did the whole thankful deal where people stand and say what they are thankful for. Bruce's sermon included a story about how someone stole his shoes and one written by Marilyn about a true event in her recent life about an encounter with someone in need of food. Bruce then called for us to do something that would inconvienience us. He told people to take off the shoes they were wearing, or coats they brought and lay them on the steps of the stage to give to people in need. It was absolutely amazing and moving to see soo many people surge forward to give. I will admit, i didn't give my shoes. I like so many more gave what cash they had along. The offering bags were overflowing, the steps piled with jackets, shoes, etc. amazing.
I also made banana bread today. I took half to my grandpa while my parents were visiting him where my grandma lives in a home. I haven't been there since Christmas, i don't know why, but i find it really hard to go there. I feel bad, yet have excuses every sunday when my parents go.
I have no idea what will happen with my car. I've tried not to worry about it this weekend in order to actually be thankful. SGI wants to write it off...just because the door is dented-argh. ya...enough of that.

Please sir, can i have another

here's a story of a boy....a little boy and his zebu...oh wait, that's veggietales....well have I got a story for you......

Today i realized just how much i enjoy my grade ones. As nuts as they can be sometimes and the fact that they haven't realized desks are for sitting it not trying to fly, they are wonderful. And i was very blessed to be paired with Breanne as a teacher. We get along great and when i brought her a french vanilla cap. this morning she was overjoyed, which in turn made me happy. anyway, onto the story...
Last nite, my dad had corner gas turned up really, really loud (shocking i know) and they were talking about driving without a license and i thought good thing i renewed...oh shoot. I forgot. This morning, i went at 8am and renewed my license without problem...just in case. i always figure i'll get into an accident if i don't.
This afternoon, i went to safeway to buy groceries for mom-she hates this task and well, i really like it. i think i figured out why this afternoon. When i walk through the aisles, i enjoy looking at how much there is and how many varieties of everything there is. I'm amazed and feel so blessed walking through being able to have so much. However, man, i dislike safeway, i can't find where stuff goes...i'm sticking with my extra foods from now on.
Next the story moves to the parking lot...walking, walking, pushing cart...wait, something is on my windshield, a flyer? no...hmm...no one else got one. odd, someone left their plate and license info for me....wait. crap. I finish reading, "there is no damage to my vehicle"...well, POO. It wasn't as big of a deal as if i were there when it happened i think...i mean, really, no one to be mad at except a piece of paper, i can't do anything about the damage, but call SGI...after i got home and looked again, i had a very minor little tantrum of feet stomping as i looked, but no one was hurt, and they left their info-thank God. It's just too bad they couldn't have scratched the paint on the hood. heehee. now i'll have one side nicely painted and the rest looking like crap, oh well. : )
