Time to Say Goodbye

My grandma passed away yesterday after living with Alzeimers for some years now. At 445 she went to heaven where i'm sure she is able to speak again-and i'm quite certain she will talk...a lot. : ) I went to the home on Tues. and i'm happy she isn't in pain anymore.

I'd rather be There....

Standing on the path to Long Bay.

Our Lagoon

Maho Beach. The Landing strip is just to the left.

A Snail. Go figure.

A few pic.'s from the fabulous St. Martin. I keep waiting for all the stress and tiredness to go away before posting...i've realized that won't happen.
We're waiting for my grandma to pass away-she's been in a nursing home for a couple years with Alzeimers already. Dad's kidney function has gone even lower and is getting close to dialysis levels. Pam is really going to Columbia Bible College and decided to surprise mom with Hi i need $10 000. My back is still pretty bad-going to get the drugs today-thought i could handle without. That's my life right now....dreaming of St. Martin.

In Need

of prayer....and maybe good drugs. My back is still strained/sprained from weeks ago now and i'm sick of pain. I went for a massage and i even went to a chiropractor(not as scary as first thought) and i've still been working with pain. Funny thing, i had very little to no pain while in St. Maarten and yet as soon as i get home-PAIN. I have a doctors appt. tomorrow so i'm hoping they can fix me. It's come to the point where my boss(shoe) hasn't put me on the May schedule because she's thinking i can't bend and it's a bendy type job. She doesn't want me wrecking myself and also doesn't want a workers comp. hitting the store. Though i wouldn't even try since they know i was hurt before-but ya....i won't be quitting so if they let me go-they better give me something rather. ugh i miss walking upright.

Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road

because it had already walked through our restaurant and i was trying to take its picture.

I'm home. I'm peeling. I'm really quite tired. I'm safe. I'll post more later.
This is our lagoon in the morning. The only time you really got decent amount of shade. Sigh, i miss it already.

Like a kid on Saturday morning

Remember when you were little(at least for me) and you got up earlier then the parents. Trying to be quiet down the steps not to wake them and to turn the tv volume down as it comes blarring on. (haha well the last part more in my house) I felt like that this morning. I'm so used to awaking at 6 that by 730am i didn't know what to do with myself and couldn't stay in bed. So, i'm sitting here wondering what one does at 730am when people are sleeping. It's easier when i need to get ready for work or what not. I think i may be turning into a morning person. eep. Well, at least until i start sleeping in and the routine gets messed. I find that for me to get a decent nite of sleep, i really have to keep with a routine of going to bed/getting up at the same time-otherwise things get crazy haha.

On another note....I have the most amazing friends ever. This week has been kind of long(even though short) with working a lot and my back being sprained(found that out at the chiropractor yesterday-surprise! that's why it hurts). I've met so many random people this week that i hadn't seen in awhile-it was really good.
And really i thought to myself, i'm only leaving for 10 days and still people call to say have a good trip(Rie, mom told me last nite at 1130 that you called too-sorry i didn't call u back!) It made me feel really quite special after a yucky day at work. So thanks to everyone who made my day.
I even got to see my dear friend Jenn last nite for coffee. She called me very shortly after arriving from Regina. Thanks hun! A very good couple of days indeed friendwise.

What the Poo

my sister was accepted to the Quest program at Columbia Bible College. Intriguing. It will be an interesting decision if she also gets into nursing.

Time Flies....When you work too much

Oh my goodness....where have the last 4 days gone?! When i started the trip countdown i thought either it will take forever, or nothing at all. Well i'm pretty sure that yesterday was still Feb. I have a chiropractor appt. this am-at 8 actually....kinda sad-i got to still sleep in(til 7! :) ) I have 8 more hours of work....in which i'll try to do the least amount possible-and the one lady will make sure i don't hurt myself more-she's been very sweet. Then no more work-hooray.

Busy Bee

Not much to report. I've been working a lot-due to the new girl never showing up. The boss is in Vancouver so i'm covering her shifts as well. But i need to pay off my Visa so i guess that's okay. The only time it seems like too much is when i work 730am to 9pm. It makes for a long day.
I slipped on ice outside our house a couple of days ago and although i didn't fall, i re-injured my lower back from something i did a few years back. This is quite painful and only seems better with constant movement and staying upright. This could cause problems with flying 7 hours in two days soon. Anyone have any home remedies for muscle aches???? I've done the ibuprofen and muscle relaxants don't work on me. The hot water bottle has become my closest friend-but i haven't found anything that really fixes it.
